An End to a Journey

Well, today is my Mom's last day home before returning to work on Monday. It has been a long journey for us all and I know Monday will be bittersweet for everyone. My mom is not the "home body" type and sitting around the house for these past few months has just about driven her stir crazy! But, nonetheless, my kids and I have enjoyed the time we got to spend with her going to every mall in a 20 mile radius, lunch dates, random outings, and just sitting and visiting. I am grateful that we were able to have the time at all considering what the alternative outcome with her cancer could have been. We serve an awesome, amazing God and we are praising Him daily for the blessings He bestowed on us through my mom's walk with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. To those of you walking a similar journey either for yourself, a loved one, or a friend... please know there is hope! Now, I think Mom wants to get out of the house today! Bye!

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." ~ Colossians 3:15-17
