Looters break into Cairo museum

The American army could not preserve the National Museum of Iraq.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Museum_of_Iraq. It was unimportant to protect several artifacts missing, according to then commander of US forces.
(or intentionally allowed the looters to enter and take what they were expected to take?)

Will Mubarak regime be capable of keeping the Egyptian and world heritage, after killing 100+ Egyptian people on the streets? Or selected artifacts will mysteriously disappear again? Good that the pyramids are too big to be carried away. They are not built by Egyptian peasants in the winter when they didn't have what to do and the vise pharaohs found them another job,  according to the mainstream Egyptian historians.
