If you could have a servant come to your house every day for one hour, what would you have them do? Laundry. With 6 people in the house we go through tons of laundry ... especially since my 4 year old changes three or four or more times a day! I don't mind the washing & drying as much as the hanging, folding and putting up.
Has your life ever been changed by an apparently random occurrence? It seems most of life's occurrences are "random" ... none of us can plan every event of our day. Meaning, it was random that I noticed my husband back in high school as he walked passed my best friend's house. It's random that I wrote the CL ad that got us this house. Most recently, it was random that we chose the closest church to our new home to attend ... and some old friends from high school attended and we've been able to form great friendships very quickly.
You're having dinner with several friends and acquaintances. They all criticize a close friend of yours (not knowing he/she is a friend). The criticism is unjustified. What would you do? I would stand up for the friend. I'm not afraid of confrontation. In fact, I had something similar happen to me recently (I was the one being spoken about to a friend that the one gossiping was unaware of our relationship). The friend told me about it, I took it to elders of the church (where the offense occurred) and it became my story against hers ... because my friend didn't think she should speak up and say something. This began our journey to leaving that church!
