Thursday Thirteen #2: Movies

Thirteen Movies I am Forced to Watch (what feels like) Daily

- Little Miss Sunshine - Funny movie, although the language isn't all that great! One line we use quite often (since we eat baked chicken almost daily) is when Grandpa "goes off" about the chicken ... we simply CLEAN IT UP in order to make use of it around here! : )

- Nacho Libre - This movie had to "grow on me" to begin with, but then it became the ONLY movie Princess JL would sit and watch and go to sleep to ... so it was "worn out" quickly!

- Napoleon Dynamite - Another one of those "grow on you" movies. I had to watch it just to keep up with our youth group at church ... all the "Napoleonisms." Again, one my youngest two saw it, it became a daily ritual. Why do they like this movie?

- Hairspray - Our newest addition. The kids enjoy singing and dancing along with all the music! I go to bed and get up singing these songs! UGH!!

- Cinderella III - Princess JL likes anything "princess" ... so this is her most recent find in the DVD drawer!

- Caillou - I don't know if I like this little guy? He's mean to his sister and I have a hard enough time getting my kids to be civil to each other sometimes!

- Shrek the Third - Just another in the line of the green ogre. For Princess JF it was the original Shrek ... with Princess JL it's Shrek 3rd!

- LeapFrog Letter Factory - Now, this is a good one simply because of it's educational value. The two princesses learn volumes about phonics watching this program! I would recommend iit to those working on phonics and letter recognition.

- The Aristocats - Newly discovered in my parent's VHS collection! So, this is a "new movie" to the girls and they are enjoying wearing it out on the VCR (a new concept to them altogether0!

- Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself - Prince W's new Christmas DVD. I think they can probably do the entire routine without the DVD by now!!

- A Night at the Museum - Since it's on Starz right now ... we have to watch it every time it's on! I'm tired of it!

- The Holiday - This is a good romantic comedy. It's also been on one of the movie channels for the past month or so. I can watch a goo romantic comedy over and over again any day ... it's better than all the animation and "teen stars" I have to watch.

- The Benchwarmers - Something about this kind of comedy (and Jon Heder) draws my kids in? At least this one isn't that bad of a movie!
